We met Howard a long time ago (I think 12 or 13 years) in Virginia. Very interesting man.

I enjoyed listening to this interview, and I am glad to hear Howard is prospering. I have some questions, though:

    1. In rejecting technology or industrial technology, or machines, are you rejecting the use of tools? Is it ok for an agrarian to use a water pump to irrigate?

    2. Assuming the answer to #1 is “no”, where do you draw the line between “noisy industrial machines” that would not be in the redeemed Earth, and “tools”. How can mankind exercise dominion without tools, and therefore, machines?

      Hi Ken

Agrarians don’t reject the use of tools. Where do I draw the line? I ask these questions… Is the technology scaled for biblical dominion (small decentralized trustee family model)? Will it help or hinder the family unit? Also see…. http://www.northcountryfarmer.com/?p=275
